February 19, 2007: Lee Russell, one of Tour of Duty's military advisors, passed away last fall. He will be dearly missed, both for his infinite willingness to provide his expertise regarding Tour of Duty and his friendship. We will be adding materials that Mr. Russell had provided on his website and on other Tour of Duty websites in order to have a central location for all that material. First off, we have added "ToD Advisor's Episode Notes" to all the first season episode guide summaries, and added a file to the ToD Advisor's Notebook page containing all the notes as well. You can read these notes on each episode summary for all first season episodes or in total here: Episode Notes. We have also added an account of the prelude to Season Two, describing the changes to the series and the rationale for those changes which you can find here: Prelude to Season Two.
